Summary

The “BETTER IN” project focuses on social workers and mediators working in immigrant organizations for the integration of youth with little opportunities and conditions of concern, from the various families that face cultural disparities, economic challenges, social and geographical impediments within the partner countries. At the same time, to position the organizations and associations focusing on the integration of young people living in rural areas and disadvantaged circumstances in EU countries as making a significant contribution.

Main Aim

To increase the opportunities on social and economic inclusion that are available to social workers and mediators working in disadvantage areas.

Objectives

 Train 40 social workers and mediators on social justice as a fundamental social and economic issue, and alleviating poverty.
 Develop skills based on political will and leadership from remote areas as well as vulnerable neighbourhoods.
 Reduce uncertainty created by the reluctance of the government.
 Explore ways to work with social workers, mediators, parents and local communities in close partnership.
 Identify, map and establish meaningful solutions and strategies for neighbourhood vulnerability.
 Set up social workers, mediators, emergency managers, decision-makers and the agency involved.

Expected Outcomes

The measurable outcomes of approaches to vulnerable and disadvantaged young people that this project would make would positively increase the social, economic effect and multiply the various interventions offered for youth and families social workers and mediators:
 Extend response to young people living in vulnerable and disadvantaged areas by social workers and mediators.
 Build the capacity of social workers and mediators employed in disadvantageous communities from immigrant organizations.
 Enhance collaboration in support of youth groups in disadvantageous areas between social workers, mediators and local governments.
