Policy and Advocacy

Young people of African descent in the diaspora and in Africa are represented minimally in decision making. To counter this under representation, Youth Renaissance Africa mobilizes support for youth involvement in leadership positions connected to the decision making processes that affect them. YRA lobbies and engages with the United Nations, the European Union and the African Union in order to make informed decisions on enhancing youth development. YRA also advocates for platforms where youth voices can be heard and impact policy changes at all levels. It is our policy and primary mission to facilitate dialogue and support the successful implementation and integration of inclusive policies that encourage positive development outcomes for young people of African descent.
