YRA participated in the 7th Humanitarian Symposium organized by the African Union (AU) in collaboration with the African Governance Architecture (AGA) Secretariat which took place in Nairobi Kenya from 18-20 November 2019 under the theme “Gender Dimension of Forced Displacement in Africa: Towards Durable Solutions”. The Symposium was part of the AU’s theme of the year “Refugees, Returnees and Internally Displaced Persons: Towards Durable Solutions to Forced Displacement in Africa” led by the Humanitarian Affairs, Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Division (HARDP) of the Department of Political Affairs in collaboration with the AGA Secretariat. It was convened within the context of the AGA Gender Pre-Forum to the 2019 High-Level Dialogue on Democracy, Human Rights and Governance: Trends, Challenges and Prospects.
