Erasmus+ Learning Mobility
The first phase of the project took place in Bonn from 25-30 November with 20 participants from Portugal and Germany. The participants were all
immigrant youth workers from YRA, PRSD, and PDC organizations who work with immigrants on intercultural and social problems at local levels in Bonn and Seixal. This passe focused on training for youth workers on intercultural capacity. This mobility was strategic as youth workers had the opportunity to learn and share experiences, best practices and make inputs on intercultural capacity in Germany. During the training sessions, discussions focused on the importance of intercultural competencies of youth immigrant workers as a way to increase the social-economical responses in their host countries.
The second phase of the mobility took place in Sexial Portugal from 5-10 March 2019. The mobility focused on training for youth workers on social-Economical Inclusion. The aim of this mobility training was to improve the knowledge and skills of youth workers in fields such as: integration of immigrants, social- economical inclusion and youth unemployment in their countries of residence. During the training, 20 participants had the opportunity to present and share their personal and collective experiences. The training ended up with the evaluation of the mobility project and suggestions on the relevant contributions to the youth diaspora organizations in Europe.
